Whether the economy is booming or busting – nonprofit organizations are always interested in saving money. Of course, "saving money" does not necessarily have to mean "cut corners" or "full replacement." There are many ways nonprofit organizations can save money and still function effectively and efficiently.
1. Accepting donations
If you need some simple pieces of equipment such as phones, cameras or larger pieces such as computers and fax machines, it is likely that a family member, friend, or other entity or organization that is already in the market to improve and willing old you donate supplies.
2. Buy Refurbished Electronics
If you can not find everything you need through donations, consider buying refurbished electronics. Open source software, for example, is a great way for nonprofit organizations to save money on costly software tools differently. If your nonprofit organization and regularly publishes photos, looking for free photo editing tools online, like Picnik, instead of expensive software like Photoshop.
