In North Jersey, ideas to help fight hunger, poverty
They pitched in to serve the annual Thanksgiving repast, but elected officials and social service leaders all wished they could serve up a different menu: More schools. More jobs. More affordable housing in clean neighborhoods. More money for substance abuse programs. More community centers.
